George and William Dewsnap were razor makers listed in the Sheffield directory in 1787. They were based at Lambert Street and had a trade mark: ‘SORBON MEECA’. The partners were joined by the curiously-named Amphlitt Price. However, by 1790 Dewsnap & Price had filed for bankruptcy (Sheffield Public Advertiser, 26 February 1790).
