These products were marked ‘VALIANT’ or ‘VALIANT PLATE’, Priestley & Moore Ltd, cutlers and silversmiths, Sheffield. However, the firm was a London wholesaler, based in 1951 in Hatton Garden, but later at Valiant House, Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch, London. The bulk of its cutlery – from an unknown source in Sheffield – appears to have been made in the 1950s and 1960s.....
