Samuel Wright (1877-1962) was born in Sheffield. He was the son of Samuel Wright (1854-1923) and Eliza née Maycock. His father was a silver cutler, who died in Rockingham Lane on 1 August 1923, leaving £227. By 1900, Sam Jun. was in business as a fish-knife cutler in Holly Street.
