This enterprise was apparently launched after the Second World War. In 1948, it was listed in Reed Street as a cutlery manufacturer. It sold spoons, forks, and ‘Staybrite’ stainless table cutlery. The owner was Charles Percy Walker, who had been born in Sheffield on 1 October 1906, the son of Charles Walker (a hand file forger), and his wife Emma.
C. P. Walker lived in Norton Lees. By 1957, Walker’s address was Suffolk Road; during the 1960s and early 1970s, he relocated to Eyre Lane. Charles P. Walker died in Sheffield on 13 December 1975, aged 69. He left £17,724. His firm was liquidated in 1978.
