This firm was launched as an electro-plate and Britannia metal manufacturer in 1876, when it advertised from Havelock Works, Walker Street. The partners were Jackson Petfield (1848-1921), Joseph Harrison, and Walter Wilson. No silver mark was registered and the enterprise was dissolved in 1878. Petfield, who had been born in Hull and was the son of a wheelwright, continued to work as a Britannia metal spinner. However, by 1901 he was employed as a labourer and bricklayer. He died at Bramber Street on 26 June 1921, leaving £360 to his widow, Mary Ann. His son, Frank Petfield (c.1890-1924) was listed as a silver finisher and electro-plate manufacturer in Arundel Street from about 1911 until his death.
