Herbert Reynolds is listed as a Cutlery Manufacturer located at 26a Burgess Street in the 1934 Kelly's Directory of the Engineering Hardware & Metal Trades Vol 2 (Cutlery). It is likely that this is the Herbert Reynolds born about 1890 at 12 Bramhall Lane, the son of William a Carter / Coal Dealer and Ruth May Reynolds.
Shortly after Herbert's birth, his father died and on the 1891 census Herbert is living with his mother and seven siblings aged between 1 and 21 at 18 Bramhall Lane. Ruth later re-married Samuel Dungworth, a table knife cutler and the family lived at 31 Bruce Road (1901 Census). By 1911 the family had moved to 132 Queens Road, and Herbert is working as a table knife cutler.
Herbert died around 1963 age 73, no further details or Directory entries were found.
