The partners were Edwin Arthur Roberts (1835-1907) and Henry George Roberts (1839-1915). They were the sons of John Roberts. By 1868, the Roberts’ brothers had formed a partnership at Walkley & Orion Works, North Street, as manufacturers of fancy goods in ivory, including fruit knives. The enterprise apparently did not survive the early 1870s. Henry George Roberts became a traveller; and his brother Edwin becomes elusive in the Census and directories between about 1881 and the early 1900s. Both brothers, though, died in Sheffield and were buried in Burngreave cemetery. Edwin Arthur, ‘gentleman’, Haywood Road, died on 22 January 1907, aged 71; Henry George, ‘cutlery merchant’, Millmount Road, on 20 March 1915, aged 76.
