Albert Sharrard (1868-1953) was a journeyman spoon and fork buffer, who operated H. R. Pearce & Son with Herbert Augustus Fisher. This ended in 1902. He next ran Sharrard & Hydes, spoon and fork manufacturer, Trafalgar Street, with William Archer Hydes (1882-1954). The latter was the nephew of John Bednal. In 1907, Sharrard, Mosby & Co Ltd was registered with £1,500 capital, after the takeover of S. E. Mosby, cutlery manufacturer, West Street. The owner had been Stephen Ernest Mosby (1869-1955). Sharrard was bankrupt by 1911 and reverted to his job as a buffer.
