Graham Mannifield was born about 1843, the son of William, a Table Knife Hafter and Emma, whilst living in the Broomhall / Broomspring area. The 1861 Census lists Graham as an Apprentice Table Knife Hafter and living at 81 Thomas Street with Francis Bartholomew (also a Cutler) and his family.
By 1891 Graham was married to Mary Dungworth and residing at 107 Victoria Street with their 7 children. Graham is later listed in Kelly's 1893 Directory as a Table Knife manufacturer, located at Sheffield Ivory Works, 157 Rockingham Street along with six other cutlers, ivory workers and a silversmith.
Graham died 1897, age 54; his son William continued the business at the same address. William eventually retired and moved to 611 Queens Road
