Legacy Silverware Old English Pattern cutlery
The company was originally formed in 1898 by two brothers Albert and Joseph Yates. They started out as makers of caps and ferrules for fish eaters but soon moved into making cutlery themselves.
The Beatson family's involvement in the company began in 1947 with William Beatson, grandfather of the current MD. It is now one of the last remaining cutlery manufacturers whose products are made from start to finish in Sheffield.
Legacy Silverware was established in February 2019 as the sales, marketing, design and development engine for the family business. It was created to fill a gap in the market for quality products in heritage cutlery designs that are no longer available elsewhere. The company also produces hand made contemporary cutlery patterns and giftware.
