George Greenwell & Co was a Sheffield table knife manufacturer, which was active at the end of the nineteenth century. An advertisment for two girls to work in the shell bolster shop appeared in The Sheffield Daily Telegraph, 6 April 1898. The address was Continental Works, Headford Street. Between 1901 and 1905, the firm was listed as a table knife manufacturer in directories at 59 Egerton Street, but had disappeared by 1911. George Greenwell is elusive, too, and it has not been possible to identify an individual of that name from any of the Sheffield sources.
