This firm was listed in 1922 as a cutlery manufacturer at 19 Carver Street. The partners were John Frederick Cuthbert (1872-1932), 182 Tom Lane; and George Gregory, 60 Lydgate Lane. Cuthbert seems to have been the main partner: he had worked as a stone mason (waller) and general labourer.
The partnership was dissolved in 1927. Cuthbert decided to continue alone, but he died on 19 April 1932, aged 59. He left £204 to his widow, Catherine Willis Cuthbert.
