George Deakin
In 1774, George Deakin was listed as a scissors maker at Lambert Croft. His trade mark was ‘Z’. In the directory of 1787, his name no longer appeared. He may have died. In 1797, the mark ‘DEAKIN Z’ was owned by Widow Deakin, a scissor smith at 8 Scotland Street. She was not listed in subsequent directories.
