Ephraim Bright (1807-1883) was the son of George Bright (1772-1846), a spring-knife cutler in Well Meadow Street, and his wife Elizabeth Wilde (1775-1852). Ephraim married Esther Rawlins and by 1841 was also in Well Meadow Street as spring-knife maker. In 1879, he was in Court 2, Radford Street, as a manufacturer of Bowie, dagger, spear, and hunting knives. Esther died on 12 March 1873, aged 64, in Well Meadow Street. In the Census (1881), Ephraim was a 73-year-old spring knife cutler, living in Jericho with the family of his widowed son. Ephraim died in 1883, aged 76.
