Edwin Beighton Brook (1861-1938) was born in Sheffield, the son of George (a table blade forger) and his wife, Elizabeth. In 1871, the family lived in Carver Street. Edwin became a table knife cutler, who by the 1890s was working at Norfolk Street. He described himself as an outworker in the Census (1911). After the War, his working address was Rodgers’ Wheel, Norfolk Street. The Brook family lived at Meersbrook. Edwin Beighton Brook died at Fir Vale Hospital on 11 October 1938, aged 76.
