Thomas Williams trademark
According to their 1905 catalogue, Thomas Williams was established in 1765 in the Smithfield area of London. Their trademark was a clay pipe with the words "T. WILLIAMS" and "SMITHFIELD" which had apparently been in use since around the beginning of the 19th century.
The company made everything for butchers' shops (clearly because of the Smithfield connection) including knives, meat cleavers, skewers, hooks and scales.
Thomas Williams finally closed in 1939.
