Despite extensive research, we have been unable to confirm the identity of the maker of this knife.
There are two H. Siddalls operating in the cutlery trade in the 1800s:
Harry Siddall, born about 1873, who was a table knife hafter on the 1881 census, living in Bennett Street.
Herbert Siddall, born about 1862, the son on Malin Moss Siddall. He was recorded as a pen & pocket knife grinder in 1881, living in Burgoyne Road. He is more likely to be the maker but we have been unable to find any other information about his life.
