Elisha Loy was apparently the son of Stephen Loy, a joiner, who was apprenticed to cutler Luke Marriott in 1776. However, there is no record of him becoming a Freeman. Elisha went into business with Robert Harrison as a razor maker, but this was dissolved in 1789 (Harrison signing with his mark). Elisha Loy intended to continue trading, but his subsequent career and life have not been traced.
