This razor manufacturer was founded by Arthur Waddington (1877-1940), who was a Sheffield-born razor grinder. Handsworth Razor Co was listed in directories by 1919, with two addresses: Cremorne Works, Hermitage Street; and Henry Works, Handsworth. Surviving razors show the following marks: ‘The HRC No. 1 Handsworth’; and a hand and the name ‘WORTH’. Waddington became insolvent in 1921 and his firm was no longer listed in directories.
