In 1828, Jonathan Hall was in Arundel Street as a corkscrew and nail nipper manufacturer. The name disappeared from the directories in the 1830s, but by 1841 Jonathan Hall was listed again as a corkscrew maker in Arundel Street. By 1849, his address was Court 89, Arundel Street, with a residence in Court 3, Furnival Street. In the early 1850s, he was joined by his sons (with the firm restyled as ‘Son’ in 1852, then ‘& Sons’ in 1856). The address was Charles Street, with Hall living in Brown Street. Jonathan Hall, corkscrew maker, Division Street, died on 22 March 1858, aged 66. He was buried in the General Cemetery. His fim was not listed after that date.
