Samuel Henfrey was listed as a scissors smith in Allen Street in 1816. He was apparently the nephew of John Henfrey and may have been related to Samuel Henfrey. Samuel Henfrey was not listed in 1822, but in 1828 appeared as a poulterer and cook shop owner in Coulston Street. Between 1828 and 1845, however, Samuel Henfrey was making scissors again in Coulston Street. He died at Snig Hill on 6 April 1847, aged 70, and was buried in St Peter’s churchyard.
