Thomas Temporal (1851-1929) was the brother of William Temporal. He followed his father as a butchers’ blade forger and started business in 1876. By the late 1880s, he was listed as a shoe knife manufacturer, West End Works, Bolsover Street. That remained his business address into the twentieth century, when he was joined by his son, Thomas Slack Temporal (1885-1947).
Thomas Temporal, Nether Green Road, died on 17 May 1929, aged 77. He left £8,920 to his son (who continued to run the firm) and to Winifred Temporal, a spinster. The firm was last listed in 1951.
