We believe this cutler was Andrew, the son of Frederick Reynolds a table knife cutler, (see Frederick Reynolds (Cutlers Sheffield) Ltd).
Andrew was born in 1851 in Sheffield, the son of Frederick and Mary Ann. Following the death of Frederick, Andrew, his sister Jane and brother John continued the business. The 1881 census entry lists Andrew as a Razor manufacturer employing 30 men and 10 boys; his brothers Richard and Harry were also working in the business.
In 1903 Andrew withdrew from the business; the 1911 census records him as a Cutlery Manager living at 8, Wharncliffe Road with his wife Mary Reynolds and daughters Honor Spencer, Edith Mary and Norah. The 1921 Census shows him still living at the same address with his wife and two of the daughters, Edith Mary and Norah. By then he is listed as a retired cutlery manufacturer.
Andrew died at Nether Edge Hospital on 11 October 1931, aged 80. His home at the time was 61 Vincent Road, probate value £5,497 18s 5d. He was buried at All Saints, Ecclesall on 15 October 1931.
