Myers’ was a mail order business, which was based at Westminster Bridge Road, London. Its advertisements claimed an establishment date of 1817. Information on the early history of the firm is scanty, though in the nineteenth century it was described as a watchmakers and jewellers. Early partners included John Joseph Myers, Henry Myers, and Conrad J. Lippold. In 1884, J. J. Myers left the partnership; and by 1892 Henry Myers was the sole partner.
The business advertised in Sheffield before the First World War. By the 1920s, its specialities included silver-plated goods and ‘best quality cutlery’. It was apparently wound up in 1944, but a mail order firm of the same name was still trading in the 1970s.
