United Cutlers Ltd
United Cutlers was founded in about 1983, as a sister company to Hugh Fullerton Ltd – a mail order cutlery company that was based in the Wirral, near Liverpool. Fullerton declared bankruptcy in 1985, with £½ million debts. According to John Price (1997)1, Hugh Fullerton continued to run United Cutlers as a UK mail order company until 1996, when it, too, went bankrupt with heavy debts.
