William Spencer (c.1795-1852) was a table knife manufacturer, who apparently began work in Allen Street (a cutler plying that trade was listed by 1818). In 1825, Joseph Crossland, a manufacturer of table knives, razors, and general dealer in cutlery was listed at the same Allen Street address as Spencer (No. 81).
