T. Smallwood & Son
We believe this knife blade was made by Thomas Smallwood (1842-1930), who was from Lichfield, and a gunmaker. He moved to Sheffield and, in 1865, married Sarah Jane Hubbard. Her father, Charles, was a silversmith and in the 1880s Thomas and Charles were briefly partners. Later Smallwood & Co and then Smallwood & Son operated as a silversmith at Suffolk Road.
