This manufacturer of pen, pocket, and sportsman’s knives was at Workhouse Croft from 1825 until 1830, when the partners (George Rodgers, Paul Smith, and Matthew Linley) dissolved their partnership. Apparently, Rodgers and Linley continued to trade until 1840, when Linley died (he was apparently buried in Portobello on 16 September, aged 36).
