Michael Pryor (1726-1789) was the son of Samuel (a comb maker). Michael was apprenticed to cutler Jeremiah Nutter in 1739. He became a Freeman in 1748. He was listed as a lancet and razor manufacturer at Burgess Street in 1787, using a trade mark device with three small circles and ‘L’ and ‘Z’. He filed for bankruptcy in 1781. He died suddenly on 7 November 1789, aged 73, and was buried at the parish churchyard (Leeds Intelligencer, 17 November 1789). ....
