John Needham (1818-1898) was apparently the son of Charles and Hannah Needham (and thus the brother of Charles Needham). John was a cap and ferrule and silver handle manufacturer at Jehu Lane/Commercial Street (1848-1866) and Arundel Street (1867-1891). He registered silver marks in 1848 and 1881. In the 1870s, he was landlord at the Talbot Hotel, Arundel Street.
