In the Census (1851), this cutler was a table knife hafter living in Burnt Tree Lane, with his wife, Ann. His subsequent address was Stafford Street, where he was enumerated as a table knife cutler. In 1876, he was listed in a directory as a table knife manufacturer at Trafalgar Works, Trafalgar Street. In the Census (1881), he was in Milton Street as an employer of eight men, two boys, and two females. Henry Nicholson then disappears from the written sources: possibly he died in 1881.
