This firm advertised in The Ironmonger Diary (1952) as a scissors manufacturer at Ebor Works, Gell Street, which was the former factory of William Bocking. The owner was Simpson Miles Jun. (1906-1964). He was the son of Simpson Miles (1879-1950), a spring knife cutler, and his wife, Theresa. In 1939, Simpson Jun. was working as a works clerk. Simpson Miles died on 8 September 1964, leaving £746 to his widow, Rhoda. The firm had ceased trading by the late 1950s. ....
