The Moulson brothers were apparently the sons of Thomas Moulson, who lived in Bamford, Derbyshire. They included Joseph (1791-1838), Thomas (1792-1862), John (1795-1864), William (1798-1870), and Edwin (1800-1836). By 1822, J. & J. Moulson was listed in Surrey Street as a manufacturer of saws and joiners’ tools.
