Lawrence Henry Lee
Lawrence Henry Lee was born in Sheffield in 1846, possibly the son of Lawson Lee (a cutler) and his wife, Jane. Lawrence was a working cutler (apart from a spell as a warehouse man), who apparently never appeared in a directory. However, he was a specialist in exhibition sportsman’s knives. At the Sheffield Industrial Exhibition, he attached his name to a ¾-inch knife, with 63 instruments (Sheffield Daily Telegraph, 6 July 1885).
