This firm was registered in 1922 (capital £2,000) by M. Freedman and Mrs M. Rose to acquire B. Davison & Co. In the early 1920s, Debesco Works was located at Eyre Street. Isidore Lewis became the leading light at the firm. He had been born at Scarborough on 3 June 1904, before moving within months to Sheffield.
