S. & J. Kitchin Ltd
This branch of the Kitchin (or Kitchen) family came from Calver Bridge, Derbyshire (not from Nottinghamshire, as Himsworth, 1953, suggested). The key individuals were Samuel Kitchin (1821-1866) and John Kitchin (1839-1894). They were the sons of John Kitchin (1798-1841), a miller and landowner, and his wife Hannah née White (1797-1867).
