It was listed in the Sheffield directory (1919) at No. 82 Backfields – though a firm of the same name had been listed briefly in 1905-07 at Sarah Street. The Backfields enterprise was, according to directories, active until 1939. Little information has been found on the partners, though the directory of 1919 lists Joseph Walter Green as the owner. Backfields was aptly named – it was a backstreet, which had tenement-style workshop....
