Samuel Frost
Samuel Frost was born in Sheffield and probably baptised on 13 January 1790, the son of Samuel (a cutler) and Susannah. He was listed in 1828 as a manufacturer of table knives and forks in Broad Lane. In the 1830s and 1840s, his Broad Lane Works manufactured table, palette, farriers’, cooks’ knives, besides silver-plated steel knives and forks.
