This is probably Charles Hall Frith. The earliest reliable records are included in the 1939 pre-WW11 survey, where Charles was a cutlery manufacturer, his wife Mabel a housewife/cutlery-warehouse woman and daughter Peggy a typist/secretary all living at 5 Edgebrook Road.
The business was also listed in 1920 to 1940 directories at 10 Holly Street.
Charles died, aged 70 on 11th February 1945, in Nether Edge Hospital, leaving £1322 3s 10d and naming Mabel Blanche Frith as executor.
