Several Newboulds were involved in the manufacture of cutlery in the Eyre Street / Eyre Lane area (see Standfield, Newbould & Baildon). Newbould Bros was launched in the early 1850s by John (1812-1888), William (1814-1873), and George Newbould (1818-1877). They were the sons of William Newbould, a cutler, and his wife, Frances. Their firm was located in Eyre Lane and manufactured table cutlery. In 1858, this partnership was dissolved, after George Newbould left to form his own company. ....
