His identity is uncertain: however, he may have been the Christopher Dixon, silver warehouseman, who was living in Heeley in 1911. He had been born in Walsall in 1894, the son of Francis (a building labourer) and his wife, Margaret. In 1925, C. Dixon & Co had appeared as a silversmith in Eldon Street.
