John Perigo / Perigo Brothers (Sheffield) Ltd
The name Perigo was rare in Sheffield in the nineteenth century. It is believed to have been the name of French ironworkers, who settled in the area in the 1570s. This branch of the family can be traced to John Perigo, a stag scale cutter, who worked for William Beardshaw in Garden Street.
