William Whitworth
This scissors manufacturer was born in Sheffield in 1825. He was the son of William Whitworth, a scissor smith, and brother of Joseph. In 1846, William Jun. married Mary Ann Bower (Sheffield Independent, 28 February 1846). In the Census (1851), he was living in Victoria Street and working as a scissors manager.
