This fork making partnership, which involved John and George Simpson, was active at Peacroft between 1811 and 1823 (according to directories). William Simpson had been listed as fork maker at Peacroft in 1797. Apprenticeship records of the Company of Cutlers provide some evidence that William was the father of John and George.
