Sheffield ‘Blanks’ Ltd
Registered in Howard Street in 1913 (capital £5,000), this firm made scissors blanks. The partners were Staveley-born Robert William Cuthbertson (1880-1938) and W. Kitchin. The manager, machinery, and workmen were German, about which ‘all Sheffield is talking, not without perturbation’ (Aberdeen Daily Journal, 18 November 1913).
