This firm had been launched by 1879 as a manufacturer of German silver caps, ferrules, and handles in Tudor Place, 18 Arundel Street. In the following year, it registered a silver mark. The owner was John Sanderson (1831-1906), a ferrule maker, who had been born in Sheffield and lived in Gleadless Road, Heeley. He was the son of John, a saw maker, and his wife, Mary. He died on 21 November 1906. He left £3,392 to his son, William (1862-1939), who continued to trade into the interwar years.....
