Little is known about the early life of Henry Wostenholm (c.1819-1879). In 1851, he appeared in the Census as a knife and razor manufacturer. His business address was Solly Street. In 1855, he announced that he was the sole proprietor of the mark of ‘B. Micklethwaite’, (Sheffield Independent, 20 June 1855). Wostenholm was an obscure trader and not a very successful one.
