Samuel Barlow (c.1767-1838) was a scissors manufacturer, who by 1797 (when he was listed in a Sheffield directory) was based at Arundel Street. His trade mark was ‘G. FLUTE’. He may have been baptised at Attercliffe on 17 December 1767, the son of Thomas (a scissors smith).
