Charles Cutts
Charles Cutts, who was born in Sheffield on 24 June 1825, was the son of Joseph Cutts and his wife, Elizabeth. In summer 1854, he advertised as a manufacturer of patented electro-silver plated and Britannia metal tea and coffee services at Howard Lane Works. In 1855, he moved to Atlantic Works, St Philip’s Road, which had been vacated by Thomas Wigfall. Two years later Cutts’ business was liquidated (Sheffield Independent, 15 August 1857).
