Benjamin (1789-184) and Ebenezer Wild were brothers from Rotherham. By 1833, they lived and worked at the top of Bailey Lane: Benjamin was a pearl scale cutter and Ebenezer a pen knife manufacturer. They became partners in Scotland Street, but this ended in 1837. Benjamin disposed of his business in 1839 (it was bought by John Shirtcliffe) and he died on 13 April 1840, aged 50. In 1843, Ebenezer and his wife Harriet emigrated to America, where they settled in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. ....
